Role Description

Volunteer drivers pick up members and take them to the arranged meal or outing in the Bury area.

Volunteer Befrienders visit members once a week for a chat and maybe a cup of tea, visit a local park or go for a drink at a local cafe.

Type of Activity: Ongoing

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

Once a week at a mutually convenient time.

Availability: Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon

Induction and training, Travel expenses, Food expenses

Volunteers are asked to complete or provide: Application form, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, Reference(s), Informal discussion (may include an interview)
Activities: Befriending, Buddying and Mentoring, Driving (must have full licence)
Skills: UK Driving Licence, Other (please specify), Ability to interact with a range of people.
