Role Description

Are you a green-fingered individual who wants to gain experience helping others in a garden environment whilst engaging with our members? This role involves assisting in horticultural tasks, manual work and providing a friendly and welcoming environment for our members. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about nature and interested in guiding others.
Role:
• Helping our service users tidy up our green spaces.
• Providing our service users with a safe space to talk whilst their hands are busy.
• To be aware of health and safety concerns specific to gardening.
• To assist in undertaking horticultural tasks including ground preparation, plant propagation, planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting as required.
• To help with watering plants on a regular basis.
• To assist in manual work including preparing and building beds
• To provide a friendly and informed welcome to all visitors and members.

Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, In person volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

2 hours p/week

Availability: Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Thursday Morning
