Digital Inclusion Hub Volunteer

Role Description

Do you have experience in using IT packages including Microsoft Office, databases, government apps, social media and web development? Do you have experience in teaching or support work? This role involves supporting our members in our new digital inclusion hub sessions (Spring 2025). We are looking for enthusiastic and creative fast learners who are confident in various aspects of digital media and eager to support people to become digitally confident.

Type of Activity: Ongoing

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

2 hours p/week

Availability: Friday Morning, Friday Afternoon

You will receive

Induction and training, Regular support supervision, Volunteer Handbook, Travel expenses, Volunteer policy

Volunteers are asked to complete or provide: Application form, ID Check, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, Reference(s), Informal discussion (may include an interview)
Activities: Advice, Information and Support, Befriending, Buddying and Mentoring, Community Hub/work, Digital/IT support, Teaching and Training, Desirable! Knowledge of bikes / electric trikes, keen cyclist, willing to access bike leader training opportunities
Skills: Admin, Basic IT, Good IT Skills, Organising and Planning, Web Design, Teaching, Support work etc!
