Role Description

Are you passionate about making a difference and helping others thrive in the digital world? As a Digital Volunteer, you'll empower people aged over 50 to build confidence and independence using their smartphones, tablets, and laptops. You’ll provide friendly, hands-on support with everything from sending emails and browsing the internet to using apps and staying safe online.

Working across three welcoming community venues in the borough of Bury, you’ll be part of a supportive team creating a fun, social, and rewarding learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your knowledge, meet new people, and help older adults stay connected with friends, family, and the world around them.

Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, Suitable for groups to apply, In person volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for under 16's, Suitable for 16 and 17 year olds, Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

Between one hour per week and three hours per week

Availability: Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon

Role Location: Tuesday 10:30-11:30 at Bolton Road Methodist Church
Every first Tuesday 12:30-1:30 at Church Lane Community Centre, Prestwich
Every Thursday 12:30-1:30 at The Tottington Centre, Tottington
Ward: Bury East/Central (Elton, Moorside, Redvales), Bury North (Ramsbottom, North Manor, Tottington), Prestwich
