Handy Person Volunteer

Role Description
Are you good with your hands and at completing small maintenance tasks? Perhaps you are passionate about mental health and want to give back, but not in a person-centric role. This role involves completing minor maintenance jobs as needed. We are looking for reliable and handy individuals.
Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, In person volunteering
Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over
Time commitment
Timings are flexible however most roles will be during our opening hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5 pm. Ideally you will be able to give a minimum of a few hours a month.

You will receive
Induction and training, Regular support supervision, Volunteer Handbook, Travel expenses, Volunteer policy
Putting up shelves and pictures
Painting & decorating
Building flat pack furniture.
Changing light bulbs.
Hanging curtains or blinds.
Cleaning windows
Maintain outdoor spaces
Ad hoc handyman jobs as needed
About you:
You have an interest in mental health.
You are polite, approachable, and friendly with good communication skills.
You can volunteer as part of a team of people from different backgrounds.
