Role Description

Are you organised, proactive, and enjoy working with numbers? We're looking for a Volunteer Treasurer to help manage the finances of one of our local branches. This is a remote role, so you'll be communicating regularly with volunteers in the branch you're registered with, which may not be in your local area. We hope this flexibility suits you! You'll need to be a confident communicator and take initiative to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What's Involved?
As a Volunteer Treasurer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of the branch. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Management: Looking after the charity's money by following NCT guidance and policies on spending.
Email and Admin: Managing email correspondence and handling general administrative tasks related to finances.
Budgeting Support: Helping volunteers create and manage budgets for their groups and activities.
Monitoring and Reconciliation: Keeping a meticulous record of all income and spending, and monitoring for any discrepancies.
Expense Processing: Efficiently processing volunteer expenses.
Grant Tracking: Keeping accurate track of grant spending to ensure compliance.
Reporting: Completing quarterly financial reports using NCT's simple online system.
Team Collaboration: Speaking with other volunteers in your team to ensure financial clarity and support.
