Role Description

Drum Happy CIC is a community-focused organisation that brings people together through the joy of drumming. We run inclusive and engaging drumming sessions to promote wellbeing, creativity, and social connection. Our work relies on the support of volunteers who help us manage and expand our activities.

At Drum Happy we are looking for volunteers to help support us in several areas which are listed below. We appreciate that individuals may want to focus on a specific area or help more broadly with several of the below areas. We would ask that if you are interested you reach out to us to discuss further.
1. Administration Management:
a. Assist with general administrative tasks such as responding to emails and updating documents.
b. Support with scheduling.

2. Logistics & Session Coordination:
a. Plan and organise the transport of drums and equipment to different locations.
b. Assist with booking venues and ensuring all necessary resources are available.
c. Help manage participant registrations and session planning.

3. Fundraising & Grant Applications:
a. Research potential funding opportunities and assist in writing grant applications.
b. Support with sponsorship and donor outreach.

4. Social Media & Outreach:
a. Assist in creating and scheduling content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
b. Design posters, leaflets, and promotional materials (including gathering images/videos from sessions).
c. Engage with the community online and respond to inquiries.

5. Volunteer Coordination:
a. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and supporting volunteers.
b. Help coordinate volunteer rotas and activity planning.
c. Ensure volunteers are informed, motivated, and have the resources they need.

Suitability: Suitable for 16 and 17 year olds, Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

From 4 hours per week (this is flexible, and we would ask you to discuss your availability with us).
