Island maintenance

Role Description

Summerseat Island is not a true Island. It's a community space surrounded by the river Irwell to the west and the East Lancs Railway to the east.
It has been maintained by volunteers for years for walking/dogs, cycling and the forest school.
We are looking for energetic Volunteers to help work on the trees, drystone wall, paths, orchard, and many other projects around the place.

Type of Activity: Ad-hoc, Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, Suitable for groups to apply, In person volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for 16 and 17 year olds, Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

5 hours ish

Availability: Ad-Hoc

Induction and training, Regular support supervision
