Role Description

To help Bury LGBTQI+ Forum to deliver its services in Bury efficiently and effectively, by supporting its events as part of the delivery team.

Some of the possible activities are listed below although other tasks may be needed to be undertaken from time to time dependent upon needs, and each Volunteer’s skills and experience:
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
• Welcome and register event attendees.
• Provide information and guidance to attendees during events.
• Assist with the distribution of refreshments and other event supplies.
• Take on various roles as needed during the event (e.g., stewarding, staffing information desks, first aid etc.).
• Assist in the cleanup and organisation of event spaces after events.
• Support the team in debriefing sessions to discuss the successes and areas for improvement for future events.

Suitability: Suitable for under 16's, Suitable for 16 and 17 year olds, Suitable for 18 year olds and over

• Have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Be willing to learn about and follow Bury LGBTQI+ Forum’s aims, principles and policies, including confidentiality and data protection.
• Be willing to undertake training in your role.
