Role Description

To assist the Bury VCFA team in the planning preparation and execution of various events. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our events which aim to support and engage the local community.

Bury VCFA supports volunteering and provides development support to the voluntary sector in Bury, enabling them to enhance the quality of life for local communities. VCFA also promotes the VCF sector and advocates on its behalf at a strategic level with other stakeholders, and act as a catalyst for the wider involvement of the VCF sector in service delivery and the decision making process.

Main tasks are listed below although other tasks may be needed to be undertaken from time to time dependent upon the teams needs.
1. Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
2. Help with the organisation and transportation of event materials and equipment.
3. Welcome and register event attendees.
4. Provide information and guidance to attendees during events.
5. Assist with the distribution of refreshments and other event supplies.
6. Take on various roles as needed during the event (e.g., ushering, managing information desks, taking minutes etc.).
7. Assist in the clean-up and organisation of event spaces after events.
8. Help with the evaluation of events by collecting feedback from attendees.
9. Support the team in debriefing sessions to discuss the successes and areas for improvement for future events.
