Bury Social Economy Network meeting - Focus on Wellbeing

Join this exciting FREE initiative to learn, share, be inspired and to network with other organisations working to build a more social economy here in Bury!

Event aims

• Facilitate networking and learning for 'social economy' orgs in Bury (social enterprises, trading charities & co-ops)
• Encourage peer-support and mentoring
• Encourage collaborative and partnership working

This time we have a Wellbeing theme - spotlighting the work of 3 local social enterprises all working to improve health and wellbeing in the community. There will be a creative workshop to get everyone engaged and reflecting on their work, lots of networking, tasty sourdough snacks to keep people going and even the chance to try out some alternative therapies. All taking place in one of the cosiest community venues in Bury. You're in for a treat!

Agenda 

• Welcome and introductions - a bit about the venue with Judith from One Step Bury CIC
• Meet the Author - Kerry from a Brilliant Thing CIC
  • A bit about Kerry's new book - Healing-Centred Transformation: Mend, Tend and Change the Future
• Creative and interactive workshop facilitated by Kerry
• Open forum for updates, sharing successes or challenges
• Option for taster Reiki and sound bath therapy sessions with Tik and Donna from Happy Me Community CIC
• Refreshments and informal networking

Sourdough snacks will be provided by The Reiki Baker

Teas/coffees/soft drinks provided

• Social Economy organisations based in or working in Bury (including social enterprises, trading charities, co-operatives and other mutuals)
• Individuals in the pre-start up stage considering setting up one of the above
