Whitefield Connections - Focus on Social Prescribing

Join us for the next Whitefield Connections meeting to meet other Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations working in Whitefield!

This meeting is aimed at any Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise group based in or working in the Whitefield Neighbourhood. The session will be facilitated by Owen Hewson, Capacity Building Development Officer at Bury VCFA.

For session, we are delighted to welcome Jenni and Susan from The Wildlife Trust who will talk about the Green Social Prescribing activity that is happening around Whitefield. Jenni and Susan are really keen to meet local VCSE groups in Whitefield at this event. Beyond Green Social Prescribing activities, Jenni and Susan will talk about the wider Social Prescribing work happening around the neighbourhood. 

What is 'Social Prescribing'?

Social Prescribing is a form of non-medical healthcare, where health professionals connect people to community activities, groups and services that support their practical, social and emotional needs.
